Welcome to Building Blocks Phonics. Before we begin our first unit, we’re going to take some time to introduce you to the BBP learning platform (as well as your fellow-participants).
As you progress through the course, you’re going to see checklists (like the one below) at the top of each new lesson. These checklists are provided to guide you through each unit or module.
Here is what is expected of you in order to successfully complete the Orientation unit:

Complete Module 1: The Alphabet

Participate in the Discussion Forum topic for the week (1 x Initial Response, 1 x Comment)

Upload the Orientation Video Assignment
Each of these items will be explained in more detail as we go through the Orientation unit. Your first requirement is to complete Module 1: The Alphabet.
Module 1: The Alphabet
There are 20 modules you will complete over the next several weeks, and all of them will follow the same format:
- Review the checklist of module requirements.
- Watch a video & follow along in the provided slides.
- Complete any provided interactive activities.
- Review any supplementary materials (links, resources, etc.)
- Pass the module quiz. Note: When completing a module, the checklist at the top of the page must be completely checked before you will be able to take the quiz.
In this Orientation unit, you only have one module to complete; however, future units will require you to complete several modules. When you’re ready to complete Module 1: The Alphabet, click the “Complete Lesson” button below.
